Hi. I upgraded from a P990i to a X10. I made a backup of contacts, calendar, notes and other stuff with the Sony Ericsson PC Suite for Smartphones (the application that came with the P990i). How do I import this data into the X10? Thanx
Unfortunately PC Suite is not compatible with the X10's. The best way to get the majority of your information over would be to use Sony Ericsson sync function. If you go to the Community Tab at the top of the page it should offer you an option to bring over info from your old phone. I have just checked on mine and the phone you mention is on there. The X10 doesn't have the same note function so I don't think they will copy over. Basically SE send your old phone a text with the settings, you run the sync to put you information on their 'cloud' and then on your new phone find the Accounts and Sync function in the Settings Menu and set up sync with that.
I have just had a horrible thought, your user name includes Vodafone. I have a feeling that they took SE sync off their phones and substituted it for the non working (!) 360 app. Hmmm, not sure if they have this one cracked or not.
I guess you could bluetooth all your contacts over.
Or export your contacts/calendar etc from PC Suite to Outlook and then import them from Outlook to Googlemail and then sync your phone with google. Don't know whether it will give you all the info that you need transferred.
There is also an application called MyPhone Explorer http://www.fjsoft.at/en/highlight.php which may be of use to you as well.
Sorry about the rambling response but not sure what you can and can't do so thought I'd give you as many options to explore as possible.
