missing notes after 2.1

Hi all,

I used the default 'Notes' app in 1.6 to store lots of info (and my gf's xmas list!) and now in 2.1 it's empty.

I used the backup/restore and even ZIPped my SDCard separately in case of data loss but cannot work out how to retrieve my notes.

any tips?

I think Backup and Restore application do not sync notes.
