MMS does not work

I've had issues getting MMS to send.  SMS works just fine, but MMS just never goes through.  It doesn't say it was sent, and the person I send it to never gets it.  Even the stock text message app won't work.  I tried reinstalling it but it still does the same thing.

Using CM 6.1.1....any suggestions?  I'd rather not have to reinstall the ro and start over

How about deleting your apn settings and or replacing you sim card?

I may end up unlocking and replacing my sim card anyway if AT&T doesn't fix their customer service!!! lol

you can get a new one for free, just call AT&T tell them to send you the APN OTA and most likely it WONT solve your problem, then they will say that it might be your SIM card which you can pick up for free at a local AT&T store

usually when I get that error I just reflash the phone and it works just fine but its a pain to reinstall everything

lol....just the thought of having to call at&t again today makes me wanna scream!!  I just got off the phone with them for the 3rd time....2 1/2 hours wasted with the worst CSR's ever!!!

I'll try calling later when I've had a few drinks and I'm not ready to scream at them the second they pick up hahaha

So I called, they did not push apn to my phone...they guy I talked to has an iPhone (pffff...what's that tell you? lol)  and they want me to take my phone in to a store for a "tech" (if you can call at&t store employees techs) to look at it.  My question is this: since I obviously now have to re-flash the branded rom to my phone in order to do that, there is a chance MMS will work again after.  If MMS starts working again after the ofw flash, how do I make it not work again so it does the same thing it is now ie: sms goes through, but not sms.  I'd just delete one line in the APN settings but that would be too simple to fix.  I'm sure you can figure out my motivation behind having a non-working x10 with the events that are set to happen in the next few weeks

ok so I just had the same f.. problem hahaha

I was sending sms and I guess I sent them to fast that my X10 couldn't keep up, so I stop receiving sms all together, and I wasn't able to send nor recieve MMS, the irony here.

I did everything I could to fix it, but I knew there was only ONE solution

reflash the phone, ugh

I guess the only way to get it to do the same thing is to send a LOT of txts and to have a LOT of sms/mms saved on your messaging app

no way....lol  What are the odds?

I actually deleted a ton of texts when I was on the phone with support and that disn't help me.  I'll see if I can replicate it, though.  That may be a great option if there's a glitch that kills messaging by flooding it.  I have an app called text bomber that could easily flood my phone with hundreds of texts in 30 seconds hahaha

btw, did you restore your data partition after flashing?  if so, did the problem still happen after that?

you could perhaps recreat it, by sending them to yourself, using google voice. that way you will send hundreds of sms and receive them, so it might replicate the same issue
