moisture inside xperia z2 camera

I put my phone in a 20 cm water for like 10 seconds and i dried it out with a piece of clothe and put it under the fan to make sure it is completely dried....... And the next day i found out that my back camera and flash have moisture on...... So i put the phone in rice for few hours and it was gone...... So i wanted to know if the reason behind that is putting it under the fan or not??

There could be a few different reasons for this, however if you have concerns regarding the water resistance of the product you are best to speak directly with your local  Xperia Care team regarding having an assessment performed.

Hi kaboo. How many hours did you put your unit with rice? And are the flaps open?. I have the same issue regarding moisture in camera and flash. But mine doesnt gone. What will i do? And did the moisture never came back after you put it on rice?

Hi this is kind of hard to explain, as it depend on the humidity of the country and the air. Each time you open up the flap cover there is chances of moisture get in to the phone as small molecule we cant see on our eye.

after we close the flap, water proof and there air contain moisture stuck inside the phone and the quick change of temperature may cause the moisture to condense inside the phone.

Hi, another good trick is to open up the flaps...take a 4k video, this heats up the phone & hopefuly dispells the moisture....you may have to do this a couple of times...

Hope this helps:smileysmileywink:

I dont open the flaps in my unit so im shock to see that theres moisture build up. I used dock everytime i charge and my unit is only 4day old. I tried the rice method and 4k video but sadly nothing happens.

Have a look at the areas surrounding the flaps, are there any cracks in the plastic bezel?

I only ask as I have seen a couple go this way.

No. There are none sir. Should I ask for a replacement? And will they replace it?

Best solution now is to first take the Z2 back to where you purchased it & explain everything that has happened......either that or contact your local Xperia Care Centre, but my first port of call would be where you purchased it

Good luck:smileysmileywink:

I told it to the store where i bought it. And they said to observe it for 24 hours. Power off and place it to a warm place with cloth around it. If the moist still there i will ask for a replacement!
