Pfft >(
Is your phone locked with the pattern lock code ?
yep, "Too many Pattern attempts"
To Unlock, sign in with your google account
Username (email)......
Password......
And you tried what Martha suggested? I have read elsewhere that that has worked for people. It means losing personal data, probably, but at least you get the phone back...
Nope I get an instruction screen which asks the following :-
Sony ericsson phone detected..
Drag the status bar downwards... I can't do this because the screen is locked.
Tap usb connected..................... " " " "
Tap Mount................................. " " "
PC Companion will connect to the phone.. Well ofc this cant happen because the screen is locked and I cant type in anything other than the email address which it wont authorise because of " TOO MANY PATTERN ATTEMPTS "
If you are on 02 you get unlock instructions on their website.
When you select Support Zone and then it says that the phone is not found, you have two options. Choose Repair. Then you will see instructions to make sure the phone is not connected to USB, take the battery out for 5 seconds, then hold down the Back key while connecting to the USB. I just did this and did not have to select Mount.
Im sorry if the solution is a bit late to come but I found a solution..
Assuming that your running on R2BA023, here's what I did to overcome the problem without doing a reset of any sort.
Once you've chosen forgot password, it doesnt connect to the internet and check whether your password is right or wrong.
So I called from another phone to my Xperia X10 and the call lasted for 29 seconds.
I cut the call. The moment I cut the call, I pressed the menu button and the home button rapidly, Keept doing it for 8-9 seconds. I was capitalizing on the delay bug that exists. The problem is this delay might not be present in all X10's but if it is you're lucky!
After pressing the menu and home screen buttons rapidly you'll realize that it doesnt go back to the lock screen and by doing so you've just saved yourself. Immediately goto Setting->Security-> Uncheck "Require pattern".
Done.
Hopefully you can pull of this trick.
This is why some vulnerabilities are better than none.
Hope it helped.
