NFC not responding.

NFC on my Xperia Z2 is DEAD. 

First of all, it's a standard unrooted D6503 running Android 4.4.2 with firmware 17.1.1.A.0.402 

Secondly, I have NFC enabled as well as Android beam in Settings -> More...

I tried turning it on and off, rebooting the phone, etc. Nothing responds.

I have to say my phone went in for repair when it had a loop-of-death, and after 3 weeks was returned to me from Sony South Africa. Ever since the NFC does not respond.

Can anyone assist me in taking steps to resolve this issue?

Sounds like when the repair centre put your phone back together they either forgot to reconnect the NFC or the connecting pins aren't touching - This would need to go back to the service centre

What? Another 3 weeks due to incompetence? Forget it, how do I open this phone and check for myself?
