partitioning memory card.

hy. lately having struggling with my phone because of its low storage. however a frnd told me to partition my memory card to get more space on my phone. this sounds good but i dont knw the best way to go about it and is it safe.....if anyone cane give me an easy way or safe way i wld b very greatful

Well, when making partitions on your card you only divide the card in to smaller pieces (like cutting a cake in half, you just get two pieces that are half the size or the original cake) - you won't get any more space. To get more space you need to buy a bigger card.

thanks you for ur reply samuel.......you c my problem is i have a 32 gig sd card but when i down load my applications they are downloaded in to the phone memory.......the problem cums when my phone becames full or gives me the warning .....memory low......i try to move most of the applications and i end up losing all of them or they stop working.....in the end its heart aching and a bit of a waste, considering the data that goes into geting the.apps and games....so im actually looking for the best possible option......i remmber old fones used to jus download onto the memory card...wats wrong with the xperia arc s?

Have you tried moving the apps to the memory card via Settings > Apps > All (might differ a bit, depending on which Android version you're running in the phone)?
