i bought this phone couple of months back and just after 3 days starting facing problems.
1. the screen used to go blank when i made a call and the display won't come until the call gets disconnected at the other end. i called sony support and they told me to run diagnosys and the problem was solved.
2. after few days another new problem.. the phone used to shut down on its own every now and then ! the problem got solved on its own after few weeks.
3. this time it was the limit.. my battery started discharging on its own.. at night when i the phone was not used the battery was discharging..
this time i had to take it to service center at accel frontline gremes road in chennai. my work is from 9 to 9 and it was really hard for me to accomodate time to go to service center. and the people there made me to wait for 1 hour before telling me that there is application error and they will give the phone in the evening. this was 16th may.. they kept on telling me stupid execuses and finally i had to take back the phone from them on 19th may. what they did was only software update !!! and it took them 4 days !!!
on examining my phone i found that all the time my phone was with the service center it was being used for personal use. there were lot of incoming and outgoing calls.. sms.. and pictures of the ladies working in the service center in my phone. no wonder they were not ready to give me phone because they were using it for themselves.
most disgusting part is its been one month and i have complained about this and sent many reminders to sony customer care but they are least bothered. i got one phone call and they assured me they are taking some action. god only knows what action they are taking ! There are so many scratches on my new phone to which they don't have an answers.
on the whole i had pretty bad experience with SONY. Its because of the brand name i had bought my first SONY phone but to get this kind of service shows even a multi national company after coming to INDIA cannot maintain their standards. The fault is not with the BRAND but with our local people who are handling it. The service center they have authorised is just like a local service center and the people working there don't even converse in proper ENGLISH !.
Next time you people buy SONY phone please pray to GOD that no issue arises and you don't have to go to their pathtic service center !
