Whenever I plug in my Xperia E1 to a computer (tried several with different USB cables), I have one of these problems:
1) My device is recognized and loaded properly, but when I try copying files onto it, after some time (always different) it stops copying and from that point I can't copy anything else before I plug out and plug in again. It reports a problem and offers me to skip the file or stop copying with a pop-up window. After that, any other attempt at copying is certain to fail, with the same pop-up window showing.
2) My device is recognized and loaded properly, but when I try copying playlist files onto it, it won't do it and the same thing as above happens, however, without the pop-up window.
One of these two issues happens every time I connect my phone with any computer, if it's not the second one, it's the first then.
Also, the major issue is the connection being slow as **bleep**, meaning when I open my SD card folder, it takes about 20 or more seconds to load the subfolders, which is not the case with any other device. Further on, when I browse through folders and subfolders, some of them appear to be empty (even though I know they contain stuff), as if the folder failed to load its contents. SD card has been tested and works perfectly fine on other devices.
Once I have got sick of these problems, I tried to connect my phone with my laptop via my home Wi-Fi network. At first I wasn't able to do it for unknown reasons. It was as if the connection has stopped but the device is still listed on my computer and everything looks fine, as if the connection works well (the same thing is the syndrome of forespoken problems). After many tries, I have managed to connect them (again, for no known reason why it suddenly worked) and things worked great for a few days. Today I have tried connecting them again via Wi-Fi, since that is my default way of connecting now, but failed lots of times until I finally connected them, but problem number 1 started occurring (at that point i was certain that the problem is within my phone). I have then unpaired devices and tried reconfiguring them, but haven't been able to pair them eversince.
Please, advise me, for I am desperate and sick of not being able to transfer files between my phone and my computer properly. Thanks in advance, Milan
Do you have stamina mode enabled or Extanded battery mode as this can cause the issues you report - It is a feature that after some time of not user imput features close to conserve battery
I will try it right now and see if that is the issue!
Copying works fine at this moment, but still can't connect via Wi-Fi...
Update:
Copying still stops abruptly from time to time, but refreshing the window usually solves the problem, although I have to copy the thing again. Still, I would like it if it didn't happen, ever, I mean, I want my phone to work, is it too much to ask? Connecting via Wi-Fi still doesn't work.
I would like to know if this problem could possibly be solved without replacing my phone, taking it to service or factory reset.
Question about your first problem:
Did you try to copy large files?
Music mostly. I was able to pair my computer and phone via Wi-Fi once again, but the connection is really slow now, and my connection speed is between 65Mbps and 150Mbps. The problem with transfers still occurs sometimes... I'm really starting to feel desparate....
Forgot to mention in my post, when i use MSC mode for transfering files, everything works great! Only in MTP (media transfer mode) do i have problems. I believe it's a software glitch and don't believe factory reset will change anything.
In this case,I suggest you stop by a sony service.
I was hoping I could avoid that... Anyways, thanks..
