Hi,
I've got a Z5P and very often, when I press the power button the phone just wont wake up? I need to wait sometimes over 2 minutes until it comes to life again? It just doesnt respond to anything.
On my phone, I have done a factory reset and a repair from xperia conenct but it didnt help.
Also, with my wifes phone (another Z5P) the phone went extremely hot and then wouldnt wake up. This time it took over an hour to come back to life! Nothing would work.
Why is this happening?
Hi @KaiserSoze,
I am sorry to hear that.
As for your device, does it happen in relation to anything in specific? Like for instance running a specific app or service before putting the device to sleep? When you made the software repair using Xperia Companion, did you experience the same straight after it as well, or did you have time to download apps and services before it started occurring?
My recommendation is that you have it sent to an authorized service center if it happened straight after a software repair. To do so, contact your Local support and they'll be able to assist you.
Regarding your wife's device, was it a one time thing or is that a common occurrence? It sounds like it may have been a temporary freeze of the device which could have happened due to a number of circumstances.
Hi,
No nothing specific seems to trigger it. It just freezes for a long time. Today, I kept pressing the power button to get it to work and it just rebooted. When I ran the software repair I also did a restore. But to be honest, that wouldn't explain the issue with my wife's phone.
I cant afford to ship my phone to be looked at as I need it. It would just take too long to get sorted.
As for my wife's phone, I ordered a replacement. I dont trust it will continue to "behave"

I recommend for you to try a software repair without restoring anything, just to see if it'll behave normally under those conditions.
To find out how long the service handling time is, and how the service routines for your market look in general I advice that you contact your local support.
