problems update 2.1

hi there

tried to update to 2.1 as se compagnion suggested. tried to no avail as suggested, turned off firewall&antivirus software - no success. tried download version got it started however download update (stage 4) halted after about 3mb.

any other suggestions?

@SE: this is my fifth SE and up to now nothing else but plain disappointment - back2thefuture!! not even a clean cut outlook sync without google interfering - where are you guys heading with such a disappointing product?

just the default msg 'update aborted' please try later later blablabla

set handset back to default condition, tried again via SE companion --> did not get any further then sep 2 - preparing --> hang up in an endless loop

tried via the download tool --> got to step 3 again, however samething, aborted upgrade after reaching about 4mb. --> same default msg

solid internet connection all the time, checked through active web browsing.

so now i am stranded back on field one!
