I have a problem with my Sony Ericsson K610i. I have owned it for about four years and have the latest software installed.

I fully charge my battery and after a few minutes on the phone to my friend the battery bar suddenly becomes empty and my phone gives off a signal to indicate that no battery is left. I then proceed to talk for an hour without a problem and after I hang up, the battery goes back up to almost full. I have just replaced the battery with a new one but the problem still persists. What can I do to remedy the problem?

Re-install the software with the SE update service on your PC, as such battery issues are often resolved this way.Failing that, you can opt for a phone repair via PC suite.

I re-installed the software on the SE update service but this hasn't sorted the problem. I haven't tried phone repair as it looks like exactly the same as the SE update service. What other options are there for me? Many thanks.

Try a master reset.

Hi. I tried the Master Reset option. The phone shut down, restarted and a message appeared saying “Please wait”. Several hours later, the message is still there. I have tried re-starting but the message appears again. What can I do? Your ongoing help is appreciated.
