"Unfortunately, System UI has stopped" after Android 6 update

Hi Folks, 

Just updated from 5.1.1 to 6.0.1 and "Unfortunately, system UI has stopped" keeps looping until I eject my SD card (32gb Kingston) and reboot the device.  In order to free up space from internal storage, I have moved quite a number of apps running to the external SD card when running on 5.1.1.  Any idea what can be done to get it back to some form of normalcy?

I'm sorry to hear that.

Does this still happen if you start your phone without the SD card inserted? If it doesn't then I'd suggest that you backup any important data that you may have on your SD card and that you then format the card before using it with your phone again.

One way to format an SD card would be through a PC if you have one available that features a card reader.
