Radio FM turned off after 5 minutes.

Hello,

On my Xperia Z, I cannot manage to have my FM radio keep on playing when the screen is switched off.

When I turn off the screen, the radio always stops after around 5 minutes. When I switch the screen back on, I can see the radio is off and I need to press the power button on top of the radio fm application to get the sound back. I usually listen to the FM radio while cycling, not easy to get the phone, unlock screen and press the radio power button every 5 minutes...

I have added the radio fm application as an exception to the STAMINA mode, still the same. I have disabled the STAMINA mode, still the same. The radio is switched off after 5 minutes. I also have no task killer app installed which could kill the radio automatically.

Any clue why this strange behavior and how to avoid it?

Looks like an app is causing that

Do one thing, reinstall the phone's software using SUS and then observe the radio app without installing any other app.

The problem sounds like something a task killer would cause but if you don't have one installed i recommend that you follow Nabeels advise.
