Hello ,
I have been having phone crashes for my Sony Xperia Miro saying ram dumping to SD card with orange writing at the top with a version number. This lasts for at leasts for a few minutes until the phone reboots as normal.
Also the phone is unable to play any sound file , even ring is not heard. The phone is not on silent mode nor the volume is set to minimum.
Any solution?
Regards,
Ankiy
That is not something you should see on a handset running official release firmware. Have you run an update on the handset since owning it?

Hi Sam,
Nothing done explicitly to run an update , I guess the software must have updated automatically through update centre.
Please suggest what should I do now?

Ankit
Try this:
To repair the phone software
1. Install PC Companion on a Windows PC from Support
2. In PC Companion, under Support Zone and click Start.
3. Under Phone Software Update, click Start.
4. Click repair phone.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

I've just done this and as soon as I turned the phone on I got the Ram Dump screen, and have had it again in the last 20 minutes. What can I do?
Same problem faced. The phone was shutting down on it's own and booting. Then suddenly I saw the RAM dump mode. After that I haven't seen it for a few days now. Don't know what's going on. Also the phone is having minor network issues and multitasking issues like when charging if I receive or send a call the call gets disconnected abruptly or if using any other application, it shuts the app automatically. I have a Xperia miro and have been using for the last 8 - 9 months.
And I haven't updated the software anytime as it has ICS OS.
Thanks,
Parag

I also have the same problem on my sony miro. I was just holding my phone then I got this error RAM DUMP, below is showing 'start dumping RAM to sd card'. There are times that it shows 'start dumping RAM to eMMC'.
I tried reseting the phone and restore factory settings but no good at all. I even tried removing the battery for a while and have done the PC companion suggestion above. My phone is just one year and 10 months old and it's already acting up. I can't use it coz the RAM DUMP error shows too frequent now.
I hope sony is aware of this problem coz it seems that the number of sony miro users who are having same problem is increasing.
