SensMe - Download music info problem

Hi there, I have a problem downloading the track information for my songs so that I can start using the SensMe channels. I have about 1800 tracks on my cell phone's SSD card and I have not succeeded to get over 50% in over a day:

1. It takes ages - very slow progress, it may take seconds to analyze 1 song as it is connecting via internet
2. it gets interrrupted and restarted from time to time and it always starts from the beginning - it does not resume from the last song processed, at least it does not seem to, as the counter always starts counting from zero again.

I like the SensMe on my Sony Tablet S much better - it processes the initial batch of songs locally overnight but it is very reliable and always finishes fine. It detects new songs afterwards, so the incremental additions are very fast. Overall I love the SensMe on my Tablet S, while the same feature on Xperia Sola is limited (only 9 channels) and unreliable to get setup.

Any advice on how to overcome the initial setup?

Do this problem only occur when you try to get the song info for all your songs at once? Does it work if your do it for one song at the time?

An option would be to update your songs info via Media Go instead. Perhaps that works better.

Yes, this problem occurs when I try to get the song info for the entire collection on the cell phone (~1800 tracks) with "Replace existing information" checked.

I eventually managed to get through this process by unchecking "Replace existing information" - it went faster and eventually finished after couple of hours.

I noticed the "Replace existing information" is quite unsafe as it messes up quite a few albums.

Note to self: If you want to only generate SensMe playlists, I suggest not to use this option at all.

I have Xperia sola and when i try to download music info error comes and when i open it "Unsupported software" messege comes ?

What i have to do to resolve this issue ?:smileycry:

Did you unlock your bootloader using Sony's official way of unlocking bootloader?

No, my phone isn't unlock. I just upgrade it from GB to ICS.

Hi Samuel!

I want to report that the Album Art and the SenseMe doesn't really work well with songs stored in SD card...

Everytime I connect it with PC, the SD card is unavailable in the phone as being used in the PC...

The SenseMe data was like corrupted or I don't know once the SD card isn't used by the PC and the songs needed to download SenseMe data again...

Album Art of one song will also be another song's album art!

Please help!
