I bought my z5 compact a few months ago and I've been experiencing software problems with it ever since. Sometimes I'm just using watsapp or snapchat and my phone freezes on me and I can't do anything... I have to lock and unlock the phone to be able to use it.

Other times the phone just starts doing whatever it wants and moving around and opening and closing apps willy nilly. Almost like an invinsible person is using my phone. When that happens, even restarting the phone doesn't help... I have to turn it off for quite a while and wait like 40 mins before I can turnip back on and it does what I want.

Is anybody else experiencing these issues or is it just me. It's a shame cause I like the phone but the software bugs are just too much... This is the first buggy phone I've ever owned. I used to be an HTC person... I made the switch to Sony and now I'm regretting it.

That's probably a third party acting up, the only way to figure it out is to uninstall one by one, you can also boot in >>> safe mode and see if you experience the same issue, if you don't then it is a third party app.

Hey Hcatel, I had the same issue with apps such as Messaging and Facebook randomly opening up and they would have text written in them such as: ajshdhffh Hey djdjdjsi Hruri and my battery wouldn't even last a day.
New homescreen pages would also be created and apps would be removed from the main homes. Follow uliwooly's advice and try it in Safe Mode but for me, the only thing that worked is a Software Repair with PC Companion, which has now been replaced with Xperia Companion. I hope this he.

Hi uliwooly, thanks for your help... the annoying thing is that these bugs happen only intermittently to my phone, it's not a constant thing. I might go weeks with no issues and then suddenly i get a few days with the phone being buggy.... I guess I'll just have to wait till it happens again and then try the safe mode thing... and if that doesn't work i'll try the xperia companion option that @edmonddantes1829 suggested.

I still find this pretty unacceptable though, because the same apps i used on my old phones are the ones i'm using on this new phone so there should really be no excuse for it to be so buggy

Keep in mind that because an app works fine with a phone, it doesn't mean that it'll be the same with other phones, if you find a bug with an app, you have to contact the app developers.
