Something to say about new firmware 10.1.1.A.1.253

Overall, new build is so good so far.

  • White Balace.
  • NFC new firmware.
  • Better image quality.
  • Smoother launcher.

but the there's some problem with battery drain and wifi.

With build 434. When my phone is fully charged it can stand-by from 10p.m to 10a.m without lost any battery's percent. But with build 253 it lost 2 percent in 3 hour after the phone is fully charged.

The last one is wifi. It took longer time to connect to wifi than build 434 (2-3 sec) and sometimes I can not turn on wifi. I reboot and it works, but later same problem happens again.

This is build 434. 13 hours without lossing any %, but with the lastest firmware after 3 hours it lost 3 percent...

From your screenshot it looks like you hade some sort of problem with the phone showing wrong battery level which has been fixed by the update. Almost 14h without losing any % is beyond the specification of the phone (say the battery drops 1% every 14h that would mean you had 1400h standby while the phone is specified for up to 550h).

With your current battery usage you have about 150h standby which sounds normal with little usage.

Regarding WiFi i recommend that you first try making a repair of the phones software using PC Companion: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/. If you can't enable WiFi without restarting the phone there's something wrong with it.

Install the software in your computer and then go to Support zone -> Software update -> Repair.

If that doesn't help i suggest you contact your local Sony Xperia support (http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/) or a service location for assistance.

Thanks for your support.

I'm clear about battery and wifi.

But I'm still have problem with STAMINA MODE (Estimate Stand-by Mode Time still goes wrong(100% ESbT is 15hours).

Somebody in XDA, they said that with the new build 253. The screen and media server power consumtion is increase and casue battery drain very quicky.

Yes New firmware have this drawback that battery drains more fastly after new firmware update than in its previous version

Also stamina mode is not working as usual

Sony must take care of sony xperia z users as I think We all had a great hope with you

I've updated my phone to .253 I'll post my experience with this firmware, so far after 30hours with this firmware I don't see any increase on battery drain as some of you describe

After an update or master reset the battery consumption may be a bit higher then normal for a few days. Please use the phone for a few days before comparing battery usage.

The estimated standby displayed by STAMINA is based on your previous usage of the phone. It needs some time to build an accurate estimation. More information can be found here: http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/458214.

Without a doubt I have seen a drop in time between charges, since the update the phone is noticeably draining the battery at a greater rate .
