Sony, are you going to address the issues we are having with the Walkman app?

I am, quite frankly, amazed at the lack of attention which Sony are giving to the problems we are having with the walkman app after the recent Jelly Bean upgrade.

To recap, once our phones go into 'sleep' mode the walkman just plays to the end of the current track... and then silence, for maybe 30 to 60 seconds, sometimes for several minutes, before it suddenly decides to play the next track. Pushing the 'on' button makes the next track leap into life. The same thing happens with another music player app I have installed, so it's a Jelly Bean problem, and not the music apps' problem.

We are waiting for a solution to our problems, Sony, please give us one, and quickly.

It's planned for week 14, not definite.

And week 14 is 2nd-8th April.

No matter if it's from 2nd to 8th, or 1st to 7th

The question is that it is PLANNED for week 14 (by the way, two months after they released an update full of bugs, wich its very sad by itself for a company like Sony)

This "planned", coming from Sony may turn to week 16.

Sorry Daloch, but you can't have it both ways.

People complain that Sony release JB full of bugs, and don't give approximate times we can expect updates etc.

But when we're given a planned release date,

there are more complaints that updates should be released straight away, even if they're not ready.

If I've got to wait a few weeks, so what, I'll wait.

Want to add my two cents to this.

I love the interface of Walkman, I think its great. I'm runnig the latest version of JB on an Xperia T and I have started using it as my main audio player. I listen to music A LOT. Like easily consume 5-6 hours through an iPod or other mp3 players daily. However i started listening to Music on the Walkman App and low and behold the tunes just stop. I've tried everything mentioned in this thread, incl factory resets and reinstalls of some apps.

I've also tried other music players app such as google play music, poweramp and spotify. I am still having the same issue. It completely beggars belief that this issue wasn't spotted or sorted out after they fixed the intial JB problems with Walkman. Now I am lucky if i can listen to a song all the way through without it cutting out, having to dig in to my pocket reactivating the Walkman app.

Surely I cannot be the only person with this extensive issue? I really love the products, but I can't help feeling that if I get another Xperia Handset, I'll be lumbered with more problems, than say if i got an iPhone.

If you get another Sony Xperia you will get the same problems, just take a read on Xperia Z forum.

There only may be two explanations to this.

1 - Sony only have one interest... sell, and once the phone is sold, all is done, so they don't care.

2 - They do not have the most minimum clue of how to fix the mistakes that they do in their phones.

Wether if its one or the other it is really sad that a phone like the T ends being a sh*it since the first day, only because they cheated their customers selling it as a wonder when the true is that their software is a disgrace.

iPhone, you say... I got 3 of them, 3G, 3GS and 4. I decided to change to Android and I made the biggest mistake of my life, just believe the misleading advertisings from Sony and buy a Xperia. The Sony phones (their support and tech people) are the worst in Android (just comparing with phones that my friends has Samsung, HTC and Nokia.

I will never ever buy another Sony product, because nomatter what you buy from them, they only search one thing... your money.
