Sony Smartwatch 2 not compatible with android 5?

my Nexus 5 got an update to android 5.

Now I cannot get notifications to my SW2 anymore.

Is the Sony SW2 app ART compatible and if not when will Sony update the app.?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Unfortunately, I do not have any product with Android 5.0 so I'm unable to test. But perhaps, the application needs an update to be fully compatible with Android 5.0.

Have you tried the basic things like resetting the SW2 and/or reinstall the application to see if this can help?

I have also met this problem.

When i update my nexus 5 with android 5.0,  the connection between SW2 and nexus 5 could not work well.

And the SW2 continues to vibrate all the time, which quite annoys me. After the re-set and re-install the apps, it was still the same.

I just upgraded my LG G3 to android 5.0 and I am also unable to connect to my Sony smart watch 2. I have tried resetting the watch, downloading smart connect on the phone, and pairing with Bluetooth and NFC. None of these have been successful. Please let me know when there is an update because I love my Sony smart watch!

I just got it working. I uninstalled smart connect from my phone. Turned on NFC on my phone, tapped the back of the phone to the inside of the watch. The phone took me to the correct smart connect app, connected, and updated my SSW2 firmware. Now it works perfectly on android 5.0.1 lollipop
