Sony Xperia Z5 won't turn back on after update

I had a notification last night for a new update on my Sony Xperia z5 but since this update I cannot get the phone to switch back on I've tried all the suggestions from the Sony website but nothing is working I only get a flashing red light when I plug it in the charger it's been on charge over night but still only the red light any help plz thanks

Did you charge it using the wall mount adapter.? Try to run the update again

Yes I'm using the wall mount adapter and I can't turn the phone back on to re update

Connect the phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2-3 hours

Thanks for the advice but it still won't come back on I've rang Sony up and the guy had me go through the usual stuff to boot it up but nothing it's going in for repair Monday I hope it doesn't happen again with future updates I'm quite annoyed as it was working fine till the update
