Tethering disconnects

With my c1504, android version 4.1.1. I may have to enable tethering 2-5 times before it "sticks" and then after a minute or so, it disconnects. Where I live, internet is provided, but only via WiFi, and I prefer to use my pc for that, but can't afford a wireless adaptor. I used to have one if the GreenHeart models and it worked great, but this phone simply won't stay connected.

I'm sorry to hear that.

When not using USB-tethering, are you able to access the phones memory from your computer and copy files? If USB-tehtering disables itself it could be a bad connection as the option will get disabled when the phone is disconnected from the computer.
