touch screen not working

i hv a xperia play,nd its flex cable was broken..so i gt it repaired bt its touch screen is nt wrking..wat could be the reason,coz its screen was working well before..
i wanted to knw is there any way possibility its due to duplicate flex cable or my screen is gone..plz reply fast
