The SE X10 phones are not getting any further Android updates. But they will continue to receive other updates that generally improve the phone's performance etc.

But we will have to wait and see if they bring multi-touch, flash, USB tethering support in these upgrades.

And all the "open source" hype ends like this!!!

Half ar$ed OS: no apps2sd, cannot voice dial using bluetooth, no wifi tethering, brilliant!  Oh, and every manufacturer has to make a skin for its phones, genius!

This is the reason why I will move to Windows Phone next time: mature (means all features are there, not "currently working on them") and stable OS, you get updates the same moment "evil" MS releases an OS update (no skinning cr@p like Android).

Anyway, appaling customer service by Sony Ericsson.

I agree with you. Horrible ms$ are still releasing updates for XP although they are at win7 level. They also do not stop people from upgrading to a much improved OS.

If SE did not lumber themselves with teir own development on top of Android it might be different.

And they included that free software in their pricing!

I have always loved SE phones and I love my X10 mini, but seriously to lumber us with an outdated version of free software goes beyond anything in this world. It is downright dishonesty!

This is absolutley unprofessional attitude of SE, whereas Samsung, HTC are providing promising updates in their existing products aswell. SE failed to deliver with xperia and now they are releasing the ARC and expecting us to buy it, what is the use of such worst strategy, Next phone I would buy is not going to be SE, thats for sure. And i will recommend people not to buy any SE phones with such wiked and cunning strategy.

Eventhough i checked out the market. Now a days we can a good android phone with all advance features in the half of the price as compare to XPERIA. Where in we can have the facility to update the phone to 2.2 and coming future updates from Android but not in SE. This is really not al all expected from a company like SE. SE has a great name in the market. I really dont understand why SE is working like this, where in alll other companies are working to provide new and advanced feature and SE is working to stop all the future updates. Come on sony dont play with consumers. SE is not more, my suggestion to everyone is to never buy a SE product. SE is lier, SE is failed in customer satisfaction. They just launched XPERIA and not at all working on this, SE not even updating PC Companion. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS GOING ON BY SE............... Come on Sony, dont loose your market and your trustable comsumers........ Please work on this SE.

SE, we dont expect anything from you anymore, you proved your competitors are way better then  you, atleast you could have provided root previlages which support  third party application features that is not provided in SE.

This suck's  I paid  money for this shit  you have to get an update were the programs dont install on the phone memory but on the sd 

Can some one pleas tell me the problem  that we ho owne an x10 mini wont get android 2.2 ? but those ho bought x10 pro vil get it it's the same phone!!!!!
