Update Fail

Hi

I was halfway through the 2.1 update & it came up with an error saying that the update had failed.

I now can't turn on my phone.

At first I thought it might be a flat battery issue (even though my battery was at 100% before starting the update). After having the mains charger plugged in for over an hour, there was no activity on the LED. When I try to power on the phone, it vibrates but nothing.

When I plug the phone into the PC USB lead, the green light comes on for about 10 seconds, then goes off for a couple of seconds. Again, if I try to power on the phone, it vibrates but nothing else.

While I have the phone plugged in via USB, the PC Companion tries to recognise the phone, it does but then says it's not connected.....as if it's cycling the power just long enough to connect then disconnect.

Any ideas what it could be??

I've also tried all of the above without the SIM card and SD Card in.

Have you managed to backup your data? If yes, try to repair your phone software, start without having phone connected to PC Companion.

In PC Companion->Start Support Zone->Start Software Update->Click on "repair"-> Follow instructions on PC Screen.

If you have not made any backup, please be aware that this procedure will delete all your data.
