I am roaming outside of my normal network. Will this affect my ability to get the update to 2.1?
My normal network is O2 UK, I am roaming in Brasil on a number of the local networks (TIM, Oi etc).

No, it will not just go ahead and update.

If your phone is among these published kits http://blogs.sonyericsson.com/products/2010/11/, (kit number can be checked behind the battery/cover of your phone) then it doesn't
matter where you are geographically. The update is done through PC/internet.
