Hi all
I am new here but having little or no help from Sony I thought I would give this a shot. I hope this is the right place to do this?
Had my X2 a couple of weeks and have downloaded and printed the big manual but there are a couple of things I am having difficulty with that you lot might know the answer too. Even my 16 year old son is struggling.
First of all it wont make a noise when I get a text, it will if I have had it open in the last minuite but after that all I get is a flashing light on the end.Calls are fine but texts nothing, been in an altered the settings and reset to default just in case but still nothing.
I used to have an X1 and that you could brought back to life by touching any button, this I seem to have to open the flip. Is there anyway around this?
Finally for know it keeps telling me what the local dialing code is, in some cases several times an hour. Can this be switched off?
Great phone just wish Sony were more help.
Thanks in advance.
Steve
In Sound Settings you should be able to set up sound for "New message".
About the local dial numbers showing up, call your network carrier. They can turn it off.
Did you get the latest update release? I think I encountered that before (I'm now x10 user). Please update it first then let us know. I will bring my x2's life back to provide you assistance...
Hi,
I have the same problem and my x2 is upgraded to MR2.
Tried everything but no adjustment possible to solve this problem.

Hi!
1. Download and install X2_SDFIX .CAB. It will fix a problem with the SD-card (memorycard) so that the data don't get corrupted and make the phone more stable. It can be downloaded from this link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/389695879/X2_SDFix.cab
Press the "Slow download"-button down to the right on the page. Copy the file to the phone and run it.
2. Press Start - Settings - Sounds & Notifications. Tap the Notifications tab.
Select a sound for new SMS and make sure that you select a soundfile that is stored in phone memory and NOT on the SD-card.
2. Press the "Volume up"-button on the right hand side of the phone several times to make sure that the system volume is turned up.
This should fix your problems.
Hi and thanks,
It works fine.
Best regards,
Curt
