Xperia can't detect SIM card from anotar country

Hello Everybody!

This is my first experience with Xperia.

I received as a gift, a Xperia Z2 unlocked from USA BUT I'm trying to work with a carrier from Brasil, but the simcard isn't detected and if I put a Metro PCS simcard the Phone works.

In my SIM CARD lock status shows:
[ ] Network 0
And bootloader unlock allowed yes.

Anybody can helps me if its possible to work with this Phone in Brazil?
Cause I didnt found a solution.

It'll be wise to get a brand new SIM card from your carrier

@Heidji

Are you 100% sure that the phone was unlocked ?

Could you try a brand new SIM card? make sure to get the right size and not cut/trim it

uliwooly,

The information that I got and assures me that the phone is unlocked, is the inrformation of SIM Lock Status = [ ] Network 0

I don't have one thing more than this Flushed_Face

I've tested with a brand new nano simcard with adapter, and a micro simcard that works fine on Iphone 4s.

I looked for a local support, but they recommends me to try a hard reset by PC Companion, but I've tried. And they sad that the phone doesn't supports my local carrier, but hey didn't know about my current carrier.

The information that I got, Brazillian carriers works with 700Mhz (Band 28), 1800 (Band 3) and 2600Mhz (Band 7).

The Z2 was never released in the US so it's not a Us model. What's the model number of your phone? 6503, 6502 or 6543. Check the link below, there is a link on that page to the white paper which will provide model specific bands.

Hope this helps.
