Xperia Z2 wi-fi won't turn on

I just bought this phone today and my wi-fi is not turning on to have access to the internet. It's just not turning on anyway. I updated everything and tried settings, but still it won't turn on. Any specific settings I'd need to do for this?

Is this Wi-Fi or mobile internet as the two are different and you may have selected the wrong settings

Do you have a good wi-fi connection?Look in wifi settings if the option to not connect to poor networks is on.

The only way to turn on again the WiFi is to turn off the phone and turn it on again.

I have done everything. factory reset, etc. wifi is not turning on. button is in light blue state & won't turn on..this is really dissapointing. i have been a sony user since 2008. but i stopped using sony because of the sofware issues i have faced when i had xperia S & P. but Z series was a hit, so i switched from samsung to this. but i still see software issues during the long run. i'm so dissapointed. i really like this phone. i might not buy sony again.  I have spent whole 2 days trying to fix this. since i'm an andriod developer , i have tried every possible option but in vain.
