Xperia Z5 Premium Dual - Won't boot, 3 Short Vibe only.

Hii...

Couple of days ago (1st October 2016) my Xperia Z5 Premium Dual was dropped in my fish tank. The flaps was tightly closed though water inseted through headphone jack and charger port. Opening the flaps of Sim card and memory card I can see water inside the set.
After the incident the phone was at working condition for about 8 (eight) hours with random restarts, constant headphone plugged in and plugged off sign. Now its refuse to start. Whenever I tried to boot it up it give me 3 short vibration only.
Upon connectiong to power source using wall connector the Red Battery charging light shows for 3-5 sec, then it shows the SONY logo then again shutsdown. It was doing it whenever I tried to connect it to charger.
I tried with Rice, Pour in Rice for 2 days still it wont starts up. Many websites saying to vacume water with hair dryer, but I m not sure with this process, I feel it may damaged the phone more. If there is water, how to get out the water, there should be easy process right? I mean water usually vapourate right? May be after 7 days the mobile will be completely dry?? How to do it faster?

Please Note : I m not asking for gurrenty/warrenty service. Though I have like 2 months warrenty left.

I want your' expart help to start the device.

Help....

Hi @Dhroobh,

I'm sorry to hear that.

Unfortunately if the insides of your phone has been exposed to water then it may have been permanently damaged. If that is the case the only thing I can refer to is to have your device sent to an authorized service centre to be examined.

That being said, there are a few thing you can try. First of all I would not recommend attempting to dry the phone using a hair dryer or a vacuum cleaner.

Unless there is damage done to the phone there shouldn't come in water through the headphone jack or charging port as long as you used your phone in an environment sustainable by its IP-classification.

Have you tried booting your phone without your SIM- and/or SD-card inserted?

Try pressing and holding the power and volume up buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds or until the phone vibrates or press and hold the OFF-button next to your SIM-card until the phone vibrates. Use a paperclip, pen or something else then connect a charger again.

It might take about 30 minutes for the device to indicate that it is charging if it is completely discharged, during this period the display may remain black. Try charging your device for about 4 hours as it can take a while for a completely depleted battery to fully charge. If possible, use a Sony original charger and USB-cable specifically intended for your device. Other chargers may be too weak or too strong as they may have a different electric current rating (mA).

Have you tried performing a software repair using Xperia Companion? I'd recommend this if the above didn't help get your device started. Should this not help or is not possible I recommend that you contact your Local support in order to get instructions regarding how to have your device sent to and examined by a service centre.
