Have you tried using safe mode to see if a 3rd party app is using the phone whilst in standby?

If one was, it could also explain slow charging. (How long are we talking?)

Can you show a screenshot of your battery drainage? Any apps or features showing a high percentage of battery consumption?

I presume you done the basics like reboot your phone (its rare to have to do these days but can help a great deal sometimes)

I've posted images in another thread but I've used every boot method, charge method, etc. The phone idle and android OS are huge contenders for battery consumption. This started very suddenly last week. And it's draining while on the charger with sporadic packets logged through GSam.

I've been battling 1% for about 8 hours now, on a charger..

Hi

As asked previously, does it also do this in safe mode?

Thanks in advance

I am having a very similar problem as well in the last 24 hours (it only started in the last 24 hours).  The android system is what is eating up my battery and I can't stop it.  I have turned every single app off.  It's only started in the last 24 hours - prior to this everything was fine.  I am reminded of what it was like having an iPhone not so long ago and needing to charge it constantly.  Help!

Update: I managed to turn the android system off through developer tools -> running apps, but now I've got RCS in place of the android system icon (same battery usage % so I'm assuminng it's the same thing??).  By doing this, I've managed to somehow remove the "android system" from being a power saving exeption.  Don't know if this will work...

Hi @seren2;

Maybe try simply to restart your phone and wait some more time for the system to stabilize.

Tried that but I watched my battery still drain.  I've since gone into the developer tools and force stopped the android system.  In my battery usage info, the android system % has now been replaced with RCS.  I saw that someone else was having problems with RCS and had to force-stop that as it was eating battery so I'll see how I get on and maybe have to force-stop it via developer tools as well.
