Cannot play song

I seem to be having some sort of a problem with my Xperia XZ2.I can only play my muzic from the download folder.If I try to play it from the music app, I get an error message saying cannot play song. 

Any solutions to this?

What format music file do you have? Try another music app 3rd party such as Power Amp, if it works then try to reinstal Music Player app

I use mp3, so nothing strange there.

Go to Settings -> Apps & notifications -> App info -> Music -> Permissions -> Make sure the app has permission to access storage and other necessary permissions.
