How can I enable mobile internet for users other than the main user on my Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact? Mobile internet access is by default disabled for other users. It does not help to activate SIM card access. So what ist the way to enable other users to use mobile internet access? Thanks.

Hi @jonschneee, let me see if I can answer your question!

There is a few ways to share your internet connection with other users from your XZ1 Compact.

The most used one is portable hotspot where you are able to share your mobile data connection via ‎Wi-Fi with up to 10 other devices simultaneously. But also USB tethering where you can share your mobile data connection with a single computer using a USB cable and also Bluetooth tethering where you canh share your mobile data connection with up to four other devices via Bluetooth.

Thanks for your answer, but I have addressed a completely different issue. I have created an additional user on the phone beside the main user. And even though the main user can use mobile internet, the mobile internet access is disabled for the additional user. How do I activate mobile internet access for the additional user?

Thank you for your quick reply, @jonschneee and I am sorry for misinterpreting your question.

While hhaving the additional user enabled, are you able to download your service providers APN settings? In order to do this, Find and tap Settings > Network and internet > Internet settings. Please note that you need to be connected to a Wi-Fi in order to download the APN settings.

No, this function (download your service providers APN settings) is not visible when the additional user is enabled, it is only visible for the main user. In fact I have expected exactly this way to handle it, but the function is not there. How can I activate this function for the additional user? Or ist this just a missing feature?
