Microphone poorly performing after Android 10 update

Hi,

I have problems with my microphone for calls, sending whatsapp audios or doing any recordings. This is just after Android 10 update.

I am also experiencing a big drain of battery since the update. Battery is lasting half of the time that is used to last.

Hello, i have the following problem with my xz2 compact.

No microfoon sound afther calling someone on handsfree whyle on hold.

This happend afther the update to Android 10.

If i call someone and don't puth them on handsfree the microfoon audio is 100% working.

Please help!?

After updating to Android 10, When I play games and use in-game voice chat, game sounds are muted. Also applies when playing games and making whatsapp calls.

I do have the same issue with the microphone but just in whatsapp recording voice messages - the volume is very, very low. In the settings the media sound is already turned up completely.

Videomessages in whatsapp are working fine. Audio recording in other messagers like telegram or voice memos are having no issue. It is really frustrating.

Hope there will be a fix soon.

I've been doing some search online. And some people have a similar problem few years ago with other xperia phones and the solution was to deactive noise cancelling mode but now all those option have dissaperaed. In fact there many options that pure Android 10 has available and Sony have taken them out for some reason. Maybe the just want people to stop buying their phones. So far they are doing quite a good job.
