Today I had to update the Android software on my 10-days old (new ;)) telephone. Since the update the Smart Lock option doesn't work anymore. When I tried to figure out what was wrong I discovered that the Smart Lock screen is empty. The options I saw before are gone. So I cannot set Smart Lock anymore. Am I the only one with this problem? Does any of you know how I can fix this?
Piling on here: Sony do you have a solution for this?
I am running 47.1.A.2.374 / R8B.
Please and thank you!
Yep--I contact Sony support on this. Hopefully we will get an fix quickly.
Would you share, please, what is the build number of your phone that you now have? Build number can be found under Settings > System > About Phone > Build Number
You say you didn't have the issue before the most recent update? I just got this phone so I don't know how it was before. I would consider flashing the old build if it worked better, though.
Thank you
Without 'double tap to wake' smart lock is pretty useless anyway, if you have to press the power button to wake anyway you may as well just use finger print unlock.
Unless you use a cover that wakes the phone, like I have.
Sorry, didn't think of that.

Or if you want to be able to actually do things after saying "ok Google" (trusted voice is also a smart lock thing). So yeah, it would be nice if Sony could fix this bug.
Is this dtill an issue? Because I recently fixed this. I read it from some android website. This isn't a Sony issue, but a google one apperently.
I'll be honest, I don't fully remember what I did. I think it was something in the lines of disabling smart lock, restarting and turning it on. I'll see if I can quickly find it, but it was pretty easy
"For smart lock goto settings -> security - >trust agents"
I found it on some xda site. Basically fisable smart lock as a trusted agent and reboot and re-enable

I guess you didn't read the entire thread.. That solution is temporary and the problem returns once you restart your phone.
I've gotten a couple responses from Sony about this. In summary, there is no direct acknowledgement of this issue and they suggest doing a "Software Repair" through Xperia Companion. I believe this essentially does a full restore of your phone. I am not enthusiastic to have to start from scratch with this phone and I am doubtful that it will resolve the issue.
Has anyone tried this with lasting success?
Thanks
