My XZ1 is sim locked, and there is no prompt to enter unlock code when I use a different sim. How to fix it?
Hi @Regret, let me see if I can help out here.
If you open the phone application and enter *#*#7378423#*#* into the phone dialer. After this you should be able to access the service test menu. From here tap Service info and then tap SIM lock. If the counter reads "0" next to Network lock you will need to get in touch with your Local support team and they will assist you further.
If you need a code to unlock the network lock, you will need to get in touch with your operator and they will provide a code for you.
I hope that helps. Please get back to me if I have misinterpreted your question in any way!
So I did what you said and indeed I saw that Network has 0 in it, but unlike from the tutorials I have seen, mine has the [x] symbol in Network subset (which has 10 next to it) not in the Network. Does this mean my phone is hardlocked?
Thank you @Regret for your quick reply!
If the SIM lock counter reads "0", that means that the SIM network is locked and the only way to reset it is to send the phone to an authorized service center. And in order to do this I suggest that you get in contact with your local support team.
If you have any questions regarding the service, such as routines, warranty and consumer laws, these type of questions are best answered by your local support team as well, as they vary between markets.
I hope that answered your question. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!
I can't see where the Sim Lock counter is, but this is what's written.
