While making a call Do not Disturb service gets activated

I usually turn on the do not disturb mode overnight, and turn it off in the morning, but I've found that it turns on voluntarily throughout the day, and I then have to physically turn it off. Has anyone else come up against this issue?

You can set the 'do not disturb' to a certain timeframe so that you won't be disturbed by disturbances of 'do not disturb' anymore.

That's not the issue, the issue is that it turns on without making calls or turning it on manually. It just comes on sporadically, with no prompting from anything in particular
