Hey,
the glass on my XZ1 is raised on the top left side. I thought it could be due to problems with the glue. Do you have it too and do you think that it is it still waterproof? With the black test screen you can see some white glowing spots in the corner, but only with extreme viewing angles.
But it does not wiggle, so I thougt maybe it is not a problem? And also I never dropped the phone...
Has it been in a tight jeans front pocket when you sat down?
Looks a bit popped out. Glue could come undone (as happened with the first batch of Smartwatch2s where the unit lifted out of it's frame.)
I would not want to trust it for water resistance or even dust if it looked like that

It is not in a case but I used it with caution and it has not even been in a jeans pocket. Altgough it should be possible to put it in a front pocket if it is a quality product. I mean it is a smartphone.
But the construction itself is like that with the XZ1, unlike XZ, maybe it is not that bad, just a bit higher?
the jeans front pocket is not an issue through low quality or high quality but simple physics. long thin items will be stressed by the pressure of a tough material stretching across it caused by the movement of the clothing in sitting down (keys & money move into the new gaps as the pocket shape changes but phones can't).
doesnt affect everyone but some unlucky shaped people will flex an iphone, a lg, a samsung or a sony if the angle is unlucky in specific situations... getting into a "sports" style seat as a driver in a sporty car can cause the jeans to rise then get stretched across the phone as the "anti-submarine" effect of the seat and the movement of the body causes tightness through the pocket area - the classic pinch for the phone in a front pocket leading to that rare damage risk moment.
i would seek advice from whoever has the more immediate warranty for how you purchased your phone saying it looks like it is failing.

Yes I know, but in this case, the phone was not in a jeans pocket, so this cannot be the cause of the problem. I post a picture of the other, "normal" side, so you can see the whole construction is a bit resting...
