Charging problem

My Xperia z2 is charging slowly when turned on, showing 'charging slowly' in locked screen. When turned off charges normal speed I believe. Also getting very hot around top area of the phone .

Looks like a software issues to me.

Have uninstalled many applications, but still the same. 

Ok please help .

Are you using Sony original charger which came with your phone? 

Check battery status to see which applications is running and draining your battery. Install cpu spy application from playstore and check cpu deep sleep duration and if no deep sleep then some apps are surely using the cpu draining your battery.

Ensure all apps are updated from playstore 

Is charging optimisation on/Off?

Z2 battery is getting old so make sure charging optimisation On for more battery life..
