When not in camera mode then pressing the camera button, it take a few seconds for it to GPS locate. i.e. The satellite icon turns to map pin icon. The camera of course does not wait for location to be confirmed. Therefore a "spur of the moment" photo has no location metadata.
I understand that GPS location consumes a lot of battery power but I would have thought that simply using the previously confirmed location is much better than no location at all.
Are there any ideas for improving this irritating behaviour please?
