Is NFC on by default?

Hello,

I just did a factory reset on my Z3+ and set it up as a new phone a few days ago (android version 7.1.1)
Today i turned my phone on whie it was resting on my wallet and i got a message "NFC read error". I guess it was trying to connect to a credit card?
Anyway, I did not turn on NFC and i just want to know if NFC is on by default?

Hi @Damun

Yes NFC would have been on by default after performing the reset, also yes, the read error would have been caused by a credit card or debit card coming into close contact with the NFC sensor on the back of your device.

If you turn NFC off this will stop the read error, obviously it can be turned back on if you want to use it for anything in the future Slightly_smiling_Face
