Issue with in call volume

Whenever I make or receive a call my volume is automatically reset to very low. It doesn't matter what volume the phone is, I could make a call adjust the volume to max. Make another call and it's low again. So low you can barely hear anything. It's quite frustrating. Any ideas?

Yes that's correct. I Un installed messenger. The problem stopped. Installed it again a few days later. The problems return.
Safe to say I think.
