Hi @Crilic3,
Are you using the Xperia Answering Machine? If so, you can set the pick up time under Settings > Call > Xperia Answering Machine > Pick up after. However, note that if you set the timer to for example 20 seconds but it picks up after 10 or 15 seconds, then it is the voicemail service from your operator which picks up the incoming call. In that case, I recommend that you get in touch with your operator in order to see if they can increase the ring time for you.
Let me know if that helps!
Can you email me and explain what I have to do to extend the length of time my phone rings before going to voice mail please
Hi @Teresawellington,
I am sorry to say that I am unable to assist you through Email, but I will gladly assist you here in the thread or through a private message on the forum boards if you would like?
As @Viridis mentioned, this is an operator feature in which it would be best to get in touch with your carrier in order to see if it would be possible to extend the ring length. If it concerns the Xperia answering machine, please see my reply above on how to increase the length!
How do you increase the number of incoming phone rings?
Who provides your phone service (Vodafone, O2, EE) and is it contract or pay as you go?
Hi @Blanchflower, have you had an opportunity to have a look at my previous reply, found here?
My phone only rings 2 times - I dailed *61*101** 10sec then call , it asks me for a
password ? I have no password and I still do not know how to access the internet ,
you sell a phone with no instructions and then go online and there is over 100 pages ?
it works now - somebody just called me , thanks
