photo browse - just camera and no gallery?

Hello this happened after some update I think. In various apps where you can upload your image as avatar there is this standard dialogue which usually offered to choose image from the phone gallery. But recently I don't know why it offers me only Camera and creative effect! I cannot browse the gallery. WTH? Of course I have already some nice photos of me and don't want to take a new one every time I am about to try some chat or dating app or something like that...

Go to settings-apps-all, tap on 3 dots and reset app preferences.

Hi @McVitas,

It sounds like the Camera app has once been chosen as the default app to handle tasks like this. If you choose to reset the app preferences, as alexdon suggested, you should instead be asked which app you want to use and you can then choose to use another app as the default one.

So I did that and guess what. Social app Skout now offers me this when choosing picture:  Creative effect, camera, Camera FV-F, Open Camera, Google Docs. Still no gallery... Google docs could be used as a workaround though. I found out that other apps behave differently though. For example pinterest lets me choose camera of gallery and if I choose gallery it asks again if Sony gallery of Google Photos. Game QuizUp does the same.
