Screen lock Sony code rest factory settings

My kid was playing with the Xperia z5, it was on screen lock. He typed wrong the unlock pin until the Sony code message and He keep typing a few more times until the phone Auto rest with factory settings. 

How can i prevent this situation to happen again?

it shouldn't reset, it will lock for hours so you can try again. 

Solution, tell your kid not to unlock it.

or activate  a kid profile, and just restrict that profile to a screen saver where they can paint things. I do that for my tablet when my sister's kids want to do stuff and I don't want to actively supervise
