Setting SD card as default saving location

Hello,

Right now the camera app on my Z3 compact is the only app saving on my SD card. When I download files or the stuff from whatsapp, everything is saved on the phone. With my last mobil I could choose the default to be either the phone or the card. Is there anything like that on the Z3 compact? The first time I used the cam after I put in the SD card the app asked if I wanted to save on the card from now on. I would like that for the other apps aswell.

Thank you

If the app supports direct downloading to SD,then it works.

So all I am looking to do is to save pictures that I download from the internet and phone screen shots to my Micro SD as default. I am not too concerned about apps.

Is that possible? I am thinking the answer is no, but if I can, can someone please tell me how.

Thanks.

What about photos and videos, can they be saved on SD by default or moved later to sd? They are filling up my internal memory while I have 16 free sd space

I've got to the stage that my Z3c is stating 95% full internal memory and prevents me from downloading a app until I delete a existing app, which is a real pain.

I keep a close eye on my internal and sd memory levels and get everything on the sd card that I can.

Can't believe that Sony gave this phone such a small internal memory and they know it was a mistake because the z5c has 32gb internal memory!!!

I'VE DONE IT!

Regarding photos/videos, this is done in the camera app. Press "the three dot's" and go to settings menu in camera app. Select SD as storage area.

Is this a joke? Why would a smartphone company even not consider this simple idea to allow an android owner to do as he pleases in saving where he wants and where he wants to sace it. It's like everybody bought an external sd card to not even  use it! I hope someday in maybe 20 years, that android or the corporative cellphones companies will creat something that it can allow us to have that option.

This is a ridiculous answer. If this is how the phone is set up then it needs to be changed. There's no reason why I have a 64g SD card but have to sit there and manually transfer files onto it. Downloads to music and photos should go directly onto the external memory and the option to choose between should be available.

it sony, I love your phones but the functionalities are really annoying sometimes.

Hi

This seems a pretty basic requirement that other phone manufacturers are able to offer (e.g. Nokia/Microsoft, HTC etc.) so it is somewhat deficient to simply state that this is not available.

I've also found that regardless of whether I move an app (which is a very timeconsuming task let's face it) every time it then updates, it moves back to the internal storage disc.

I am now getting "system disc full" warnings. So, despite having moved all apps to the SD card, they're now back on the internal storage.

Please tell me this is being looked at and a solution is due soon?!!

Thank you.
