Hiya sony I have just started with my Sony xperia z3 over a couple of days I have noticed my Sony xperia z3 has got a over heating problem it has been fine to me in have used it as you would problem is getting worse every quickly and I getting a little bit worried as I am only charging my phone temperature is getting higher it started at 27 and it's now on 36 it's getting little quickly to the maximum temperature 60 I was wondering if you could give me some troubleshooting on what to do next if my phone gets hotter I love this phone but I can't use it as I want playing games are worse tho even texting or calling or even if I am looking through my phone it gets hotter very quickly I moved from Sony xperia z3 compact gets hot that's why I moved to sony xperia z3 and I don't like how hot it's getting could you get sony to quickly send an update or something as I don't think this phone can handle the heat anymore

I have purchased new Sony xperia z3 plus on dated 18 Nov 2015. after using this phone getting hot like hitter. i went to sony service center and he found this problem is not slove and give me DO letter. after that i get new phone by retailer. but this phone also getting more heating problem. Please help me this phone replacement or refund or other new phone.

This is normal with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (4x2.0 GHz + 4x1.5 GHz) my brother got z3 plus and it's getting hot when playing games, with normal usage is hot not like z3 daul (snapdragon 801 4x2,5 GHz) that is only warm.

Hello guys. Firstly, sory for my bad english.

I need your help, just a week, after i have factory reset and format my sony xperia z3, after that when i play the one of wifi it will be heat more than using the data. First, i was try to using another wifi. So i got its normally, no heating just like before. when i connect with wifi connection before, it getting heat again. So how to fix my problem?

my z3 keeps displaying unfortunately phone service has stopped .please can you provide me a solution to my problem.

I bought the z3+ so i could test this issue and try to resolve it. The phone started to overheat really quick, ive realised that its due to the cpu not having any room to breathe due to the waterproofing. Sony hasnt included a cooling bar within the phone to stop this but did include the safety off software which isnt quite that great. So here are some tips on how you might be able to prolong the temp before getting to high. Install nova launcher to get rid of the sony latter on the main screens lower brightness levels during the day and install a 3rd party 4k camera app. I hope this helps a bit

I recently acquired a Z3, which was overheating a lot and had extremely poor battery life. I finally found the culprit and it's Gmail. The phone was chewing through 1% of battery life every 2~3 minutes and getting really hot. Once I deleted my Gmail account the issue was gone just like that. I have just tested it and I managed to get exactly 60 minutes of nonstop web browsing while using only 8% of my battery charge and that's without using battery saver. The phone is also not heating up anymore. Very pleased with the results. I'm on 6.0.1 marshmallow by the way. Hope this works out for you.

I am also having this problem- I had to fix my screen- broke it , even though I had a case. When it returned from the shop, it was getting real hot. I can't even use the camera that comes with the phone, so I had to install a different one. I am glad it shuts down and not break my phone, but it really gets too hot to touch. When I try to make a phone call, it burns my ear.

I asked my wife and her x5 and the other x3 that her brothers have do the same thing? Why? How can we control the heat on this? As you can see we trusted Sony as we have many Sony items in our houses but your phones are not getting the best reviews?

Please help as I do like the phone, but very hard to use.

I also have an issue in very bright light, I can't adjust the screen brightness, impossible to see the screen.

No this is not something normal. My Xperia z3 had this problem from its very beginning. under any circumstances, it gets over heating. Cannot record video more than 3 minutes!!! this is not something good for a reputable producer like Sony!
