Storage settings

Good morning, how do I get all my incoming pics and videos to directly save to my sd card instead of internal memory????

Ever so often I have to go in storage settings to transfer the data to the SD card from the internal memory.

Please assist!!!

Hi @Pretigalie,

There is a setting in the Camera application that you can change so all the videos you record and the photos that you take will be stored directly on your SD card.

Start with opening up the Camera application in your phone and tap on the cogwheel in the bottom left corner > tap on "More" > scroll down and find "Data storage" > SD card.

From now on your photos and videos will be stored directly on your SD card so you don't have to go in to Settings and transfer them all the time!

I know about that.....but everything else that is incoming from people as well as clipper and downloads are saved on internal memory and thats what I want to change the settings for.

Oh I see, sorry that I misunderstood your question!

That is based on the application itself, some applications have settings for where downloaded files are saved by default. For example the regular "Downloads" application will save files directly to the internal storage and there is no setting to change this to the SD card.

I would recommend that you check the settings for the applications that you use to download files with and see if there is a setting to change where the files are being saved to by default. In most applications you can access the settings by tapping on the 3 dots in the top right corner or the 3 lines in the top left corner!
