First of all I'm big fan of Sony mobile phones since the t68 time, and one of reasons was an option of fast dialing throug t9 dialer.
For some reason t9 dialer on my z3 compact is not working as it should. It's " picking" up numbers but not names. So for instance if I have John in my contacts I won't get any result if I press 5646 if John doesn't have 5646 in his number.
Is this xperia default or there is just a bug in my ( croatian) dialer?

I thought the same as you, but I found out that if actually does t9. Only, it shows the contacts that have matching numbers to your input, on top of the list.

So, if you type a few more numbers, then the names will be on top of the list. Also you can scroll down the list.
