There should be no major difference, apart from extra "bloatware" added on specific markets. But all basic coding and Android features will be exactly the same.

That will be USA USA USA jk, go with the global generic or nordic version.

It might be that you can, actually.

You have the option to flash selectively, ie, don't flash the baseband file.

I have never tried the us fw myself but flashed several european or my original canadian one with same results and at least same lte bands (you can compare yourself the bands available in the service menu

I've done this with other Xperias, as long as you exclude the baseband it should work.

As far as I have understood updates land faste on DE than on NOBA.

I will try to find out today by switching from NOBA to DE
